Product Design Job Hunting Newsletters – Master List
All of my job hunting-related newsletters compiled in one convenient place.
Hey there! I’m Nicole, and I’m a product designer. I write this newsletter to share my experiences and lessons learned through my work as a product designer.
Layoffs, hiring freezes, and resignations abound — there’s no debate that job hunting is inevitable for many of us.
But the good news is that job hunting can have many positive aspects. Job descriptions break down a role’s responsibilities and expectations in an orderly fashion, which in turn can help you better articulate your own experiences and skills. Interviewing offers a peek into different team dynamics, which can crystallize your understanding of what culture you’d like to work in. And accepting an offer is one of the surest ways to boost your overall compensation, which can otherwise (unfortunately) be limited by staying in your current role. Despite its inevitability, job hunting presents a timely opportunity to reconsider the path of where we’ve been and where we want to go next: skills we want to develop, people we want to work with, and how we want to spend our time. Reflection, learning, and growth are inherent in that.
So in an attempt to maximize those positive aspects — to help you more easily find the next role that’s the right fit for you — I’ve written a series of articles on what you should know when job hunting for product design roles. This list will be updated as new articles and resources are published. Feel free to bookmark it or pass it along to someone who could benefit from it!
